Student Rules
To ensure their safety and well being, students at the Maple Academy will be expected to follow the following rules of conduct at all times.
They are also required to wear the correct uniform for their course once they have settled in. See below for details.
Rules
- No eating in class
- Uniform must be worn - see details below
- No jewellery
- No use of bad language
- No vandalism
Uniforms
Ballet
- Regulation leotard and skirt
- Ballet tights for grade 1 and up
- Ballet socks for Primary
- Ballet shoes grade 1 and up (pink satin with ribbons for exams and shows)
- Ballet shoes for Primary (pink satin with elastic for exams and shows)
- Hair up (bun or French plait - not a ponytail)
Tap
- Leotard and tights or leotard and jazz pants (shoe must be visible) or a catsuit
- Tap shoes (with teletone taps for grade 4 and up)
- Hair up (any style)
Jazz
- Comfortable clothes that are easy to move in
- Jazz shoes or sneakers
- Hair up (any style)
Contemporary
- Comfortable clothes that are easy to move in
- Bare feet or foot thongs
- Hair up (any style)
